My parents are the late Reuben and Rhoda Whitebead of Scott, Oklahoma. My grandparents were Frank Whitebead and Lydia Penn, also Esther Coffey Smith and Reed Wilson. I have one son, Michael, also known by "Snoopy." I have two brothers, Matthew and Pete.
I graduated from Binger High School and attended Haskell Indian Jr. College in Lawrence, KS. I transferred to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha.
I retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 2015, where I had worked with the CFR Court, Human Resources and IIM Accounts. Previously I worked for 15 years with the BIA Law Enforcement. Currently, I work for the Caddo Nation Division of Housing. I've been with Housing for five years.
I am honored to serve on the current Tribal Council and to do the hard work before us of making our tribe strong again and bringing our people back together. I believe in the ability of this administration to do just that. I am happy to hear from our tribal members, their expectations and ideas.
